about

This album was recorded in 2008 at Phil Elverum's studio in Anacortes, Washington. It was a small sunny office space on Commercial Avenue, not far from the Post Office. There was a strange taxidermy sculpture in the corner of the room, a vibraphone and a 4 Track Tape Machine.

I was housesitting for Phil and Geneviève in their windy house up the hill. I was heartbroken and lonely. These songs are sad.

My friends helped make this: Karl Blau, Lori Goldston, Kevin Erickson and Steve Moore.

I never released this album, it always felt too sad. But Geneviève died this week and I wanted to put this music into the world. We all miss her.
